My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 3 months now. I thought i was pregnant last month but the test came back negative. We have been having intercourse almost every other night just because my periods are sort of irregular (some months it will be exactly 28 days, others it'll be 27 or 26). my last period was on 6/15. According to all the pregnancy calculators on different websites I should be ovulating this week between the 27th to the 29th. My problem is though , I have been having menstrual type cramps that are pretty sharp and only last about an hour or so. I 've been getting them all day! What could this be? Could I already be pregnant? Or just ovulating? Please help me with some info!

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths

You could already be pregnant! My boyfriend and I did it every day for a month because I too am irregular and from then on I took a test every friday and after the 7th week of testing one finally came out positive. So last month you probably didnt have enough of the horomone built up to make the test positive.
The cramping is a sure sign. That's the only way I knew I was pregnant because I was having cramping like I was about to start my period but it never came but the cramps stayed so I took a test and it was positive. I was also noticably sleepy all the time but that's it. Good luck!

More than likely ovulation, but you could be pregnant, it's really hard to say, I'm trying to get pregnant to after losing my baby to an umbilical cord accident at 5 months pregnant. It's really hard to say and getting answers on here really isn't helping us due to the fact that almost everyone tells you something different, just enough to confuse or worry us more than we already are, my advice to you is to just wait and see, that's what I'm having to do, I've asked the same questions as you and all answers I get lead back to more questions and trying to determine who's correct and who's not. Good Luck and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers I know how it feels to want to a baby so bad it hurts

I have heard that 1 in every 5 women have low adombinal pain when they are ovulating. So you might be ovulaitng keeping have sex and see what happens. Ask a doctor to check things out for you and go from there. Jamie

You could already be pregnant and the mild cramping, 2 to 7 days after conception is the fertilised egg moving from the filopian tube to your uterus to implant. There might be a few drops of blood because of the implanting. If there is nothing after that, time to test.

If you are worried about the cramping....see your Dr. You could be cramping from ovulating.....if the pain gets to be extreme.....then you could have a tubal pregnancy. As for having sex every other day to get pregnant....you are lessening the sprem count by having sex so often. Relax....it will happen in time.

Call you doctor just to be on the safe side. I can almost 100% assure you its not a miscarrage. It may be that you have gas. That happened to me and it hurt like hell. I could hardly sit up. It also could be one of the first signs of pregnancy. I have known alot of women who cramped early on in their pregnancy. Again its way to early to know for sure, but you are ok. ;)

God luck!
