Seen "Cars" Yet? Why didn't they leave Lightning's paintjob the way it was after his "upgrade"?

They had to put his number, and his sponsors back on him. Also the white wall tires may have looked good, but they were not racing tires.

I wondered that, too - I thought he looked better after the folks at Radiotor Springs got done with him AND I loved the whitewall tires!!!
