It's actually cheaper if you don't buy a digital camera at all. Instead go to Best Buy and buy a webcam. Webcams also can take still photos that are stored directly to your computer (even quicker than using a digital cam) The resolution on the webcam should be good enough for ebay and even a very good webcam is still less expensive than your average low quality inexpensive digital camera (around 75 dollars for a quality webcam).
Look for webcams that advertize higher resolution for a sharper still photo.
