Just remember...people are worried about what you are thinking about them while you are worried about what they are thinking about you...I was where you are at at one point in my life but then I realized what i just told you and I stopped being shy. Add some humor into your conversations with people. Try to make them smile. If they see that you are outgoing and willing to interact with them then they will make the same effort to get to know you....life is too short to live in a box. Good luck!

Go to an event you would really enjoy even if you interacted with no one there. Look and feel interested and involved in the activity. Others will come to you or you may find someone there who is just as involved. It's easier to discuss something you both enjoy.
Most people feel shy in a new situation. Make a place a "habit", you'll feel more comfortable.

Find a hobby you enjoy, then join a social group in your community based on that hobby. This is a good way to break the ice, because you a least have one subject to talk about.

Get some help that will encourage you to build good
self-esteem. When you feel good about who you are, the less shy you become, and stronger you become interacting with others

A friend would help a lot - you aren't the only shy person out there. Then you could help each other go to some things where you could leave quickly if it got too bad. Then you could go to other things as you build up your confidence.

ITS all about how we look to our self, so the must important thing; that you estimate your self very will and consider great positive things about you ,and if you think you have something negative and you are afraid that people may discover it !!! so you get shy from them !!, remember that everybody has something negative and that what make everyone unique ,so look to your self by your eyes and not by what you think is the people eyes.
