would you think that was a good deal?no catches it would be on the 3 network.who would go for it on a 12 month contract...considering you get 1 hour talktime for £20 on pay as u go


yahoo blokes...dont get on my case i wouldnt dream of selling on here me n my mates are wondering why people still pay 20 times over th odds for their calls

The catch here is 'Three.' They have a terrible reputation for a very good reason. Their customer service is very poor compared to the big four networks in the UK, particularly when things start to go wrong, either with the handset or the network.

And the fact that the tariff is so good makes me wonder what the phone actually is. It tends to be the cheaper end of the 3G range that's given away with these offers, which are exactly the phones that have a tendency to stop working....

I used to work in the industry and I would always advise my friends to avoid these offers, and on several occasions they would ignore me, get one, and end up having endless problems. Their solution usually was to leave in the back of a drawer, let the contract expire and get a phone on O2, Vodafone, Orange or T-Mobile.


And if you do go for it, and it's from a high street retailer (i.e. not over the phone or the internet) then if things do go wrong, go back to the retailer and harrass them until it's sorted. You won't make any friends, but they will have better luck with Three customer services than you will.
