Don't feel alone or weird, dear :)
Just look at the internet as another way of communicating. You have in person friends, too, right? And you talk to them on the phone a lot? Are they still your real friends? Of course they are.
It doesn't matter how or where you met someone for them to be your "true" or "real" friend. It matters on what kind of person they are when they interact w/you :)
I used to have a very close circle of net friends when I was a teen. We all had each other's phone numbers & addresses, sent one another Christmas gifts, cards & birthday gifts. It's no different than if you were carrying on a friendship w/one of your friends that had moved far away.
Btw, my very best friend is someone I met online 8 yrs ago :) We've exchanged thousands of emails, talked countless of hours on the phone & online, shared numerous deep secrets & had many soul searching & heartfelt conversations... Yet, we have never sat in the same room together. We have yet to meet face to face & we consider each other's friendship & companionship as real as anything else.
Take care hon!

Nah, it's not wierd at all really. The internet provides as much, or little anonymity as the person decides. There being no "face-to face" with the person, or those they know, it's easier to broach intensely personal facts, as there'll be no "public scorn" type repercussions. This applies to stating something, or giving an honest reply. If course there're those who use this fact to act childish, or hateful. I just ignore these people. It's usually pretty easy to spot them.
One CAN be friends just over the internet. If there's 1000's of miles in land or ocean between them, its often the only way they COULD be friends. If ya were to consider meeting someone from the net, it'd have to be a very careful, and very public place. It's probably legit, but there's always the chance that the person's not always what they seem. Generally, the further away, the more caution is in order. One only needs to watch the news for a little bit, before a story of a pedophile, or other predator using the net comes up. Of course, they never mention all the stories of pals, who meet and become lifelong friends or mates.

There is nothing weird about making a friend. Doesn't matter where you meet them. You can talk to a lot of ppl on the internet but sometimes there is one special person that you definitely have a connection with. I believe that for some reason you were meant to meet this person. If she also confides in you then it was a special bond that brought you together. I believe in fate and we are directed toward certain people for a definite purpose in our life. She seems to have filled that purpose for you. Enjoy the friendship, its real.

Not at all...People tell intimate and close things to others online simply because there are no ramifications for telling something embarrasing or extremely personal...However, once you actually meet this girl, those things might..or they may not...If you feel really confident about meeting her and don't mind if you may have to become more selective in what you say to her then i would encourage you to meet her...Just because you met someone online doesn't make them or you weird.

No you're just being ope with someone. It's kind of like writing a journal because you're corresponding online, but it's to an actual person. Maybe see if you can talk over the phone sometime. Of course you can be friends with her. It won't be the same as if you were hanging out, but you've heard of pen pals right?

It's not weird. It's easier to tell someone your innermost secrets when there is a high chance that you will never meet in person. However, you have to be careful, since people aren't always what they seem on the Internet.

I have many friends that are just over the net. I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes it is easier to tell things to someone that has never seen you in person. Besides...if you tell your friends these things....then you have to deal with the thought that they may react wierd.......but on the other hand....if you ever get the chance to meet in person eventually.....go for it. She may end up being the best friend you have ever had.

internet is not a real friend, even you said to the person things what you never said to any of your friends before, thats true on the internet somehow you are saying things that you would/will never say in person, now if that person wants to get to know you in person as a real friend than spend time and a visit, but again the "internet" is not a friend, it is not a life thing.......

Yes, people can be best friends over the Internet. Keep communicating in the Internet, and if you find this person interesting,or if you like him , you might want to know him more. You can know someone's charactere in his or her judgement when you ask him advices.
