I'd like to see the Administration prosecute the NYT for treasonous acts but they won't. It's all hype and the reason they won't is at the end of the day they don't want the light flipped on. That would cause the cockroaches to scatter.

I think the whole business about privacy has gotten really stupid. There's these data brokers out there that will sell your records online, to ANYBODY, for a small fee. The Information Age brings with it a Big Problem, and lays open your average person to all sorts of things, phishing, ID theft, the whole show. On the other hand, 'follow the money' is a valid concept in catching the Bad Guys, and you'd rather have the cops have the stuff they need to catch 'em. I think it needs good oversight, and if we can 'get it in writing' that there will be such oversight, then it's at least more re-assuring in terms of abuse prevention. But, as they say, 'knowledge is power', 'power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely', and absolute knowledge...well, draw your own conclusions...I just hope they use some of that great information to nail some of these credit card companies' asses to the wall for card fraud, because they got NO business issuing cards to some people. If this administration shows some signs of going after fraudulent lenders and ID thieves, and some of these data-miners themselves, I'll have a whole lot more confidence in the whole thing. But, as long as money buys trial lawyers, companies can engage in mis-using people's data, and so could our very own government, and hide behind the courts in doing it. I think citizens deserve a whole lot more respect than we seem to be getting, and public accountability ain't a bad place to start with that...hopefully the House going to The People on the immigration issue won't be the last time we see more active solicitation of the Vote...For, By, and Of The People, is what it says, not For, By, and Of the Investment Bankers etc...

I think Bush should find out who the actual leakers are and prosecute them. When classified programs are disclosed like this, the media should also be prosecuted under existing laws (that havent been enforced in quite some time). I think as long as the Executive Branch fails to act on these kinds of things, the leakers will continue to sabotage sensitive operations. So I half blame the Administration, for failing to act.

Actually what is being called for is an investigation. I absolutely agree. This is the third time the Times has revealed classified programs to the public. We are a nation at war and the Times is simply playing the usual role of supporting the liberal agenda's of the left and Democrats hoping to trash the president. These leaks need to be found and halted.

I think they should DEFINITELY prosecute the NYT. The information was classified. The rights for the media have gone out of control. They say things that aren't true and when they get nailed for it they just say OOPS. BS they need to be accountable for their actions. The editor should go to prison.

Newspapers like the Times and the Washington Post should be given Medals Of Freedom for keeping us a country of the people, by the people and for the people.

Any time anyone in our government is doing anything illegal, morally or by dodging the law, we should be told.

Deceivers, crooks and distorters of the truth ONLY get upset when they are caught in the act.

I absolutely think that the NYTs should be shut down and prosecuted for treason.

I think they should be investigated and the leak source identified. After the source is identified, then guilty parties should be held accountable. I am willing to bet that the source of the leak is liberal and a member of the democratic party

I think the government should leak NYC sewer routes leading to the belly of the NY Times so Al Qaeda can blow their *ss off the map.

Hey, I have a better idea. Why don't we just bring back the Sedition Act, revised to make anything pro-Liberal or anti-Cancervative illegal? Makes more sense than crying like a b*tch.
