Look to your diet and try some supplements that are for skin. Also I have used emu oil - available at healthfood stores. Its an oil but it absorbs into your skin and has helped mine immensly because it has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties - it has also helped even out my skin tone.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

There is an over the counter version of ProActiv that is only about $15 at Wal-Mart and it works great. (I'm 40 with AA)

It's called AcneFree. It's on sale at Walgreens now and you get a sample of another one of their products, but it is cheaper at Wal-Mart (but no freebie).

PROACTIV. I swear i'm a commercial for the stuff. it works great!!! if you find that it drys your skin too much, you just cut back on either the cleanser or the repairing lotion, both of which have benzyl peroxide in them, and then slowly work your way up, and make sure you always use a moisturizer.

I am 39 and me too. Never had the problem growing up, but sure did as an adult. Anyway, I use Serious Skincare products. You can buy them on HSN or EBAY.

it depends on your skin. like how it reacts to different medications. proactiv dries out your skin really badly so if you have oily skin, like really oily, you should get one of those 30-day-trial ones because if you buy the big bottles, you would end up wasting it because it dries out your skin soo much. if you have more of a oily/combination skiny you should just acnefree. it works just fine for combo or even just normal skin.
