I'm so sorry to hear that! Where do you live where they were attacked by coyotes? My only suggestion is the next time you get a dog is to not leave them where they can be attacked, and the only way I dealth with the loss of my first baby, Nina, was I got another dog. You are not replacing your dogs, so don't feel bad. All dogs go to Heaven!

Losing a pet is always hard, losing 2 so close together has to be so hard. Time will heal your pain. I know that doesn't help right now. I lost a little chi last September that had been born with a condition called hydrocephalus. She was not supposed to live but a few months but she lived almost 4 years. 2 weeks later, someone stole one of my dogs, off of my front porch when we were home. Then in March, another one of my chis died after having a c-section, and managing to take all her stitches out. So I know what you are going thru. I look at their pix and I cry. I think about them and I cry. When you are ready, get another pet, but only if you have a fence that will contain them and keep them away from coyotes. We also have a coyote problem here but they have never got one of my dogs.

My name is Jon. I am 52 years of age. My Jack Russell Terrier is 4 years of age. That is 28 in dog years. One day he was a little trouble maker best friend in the world kinda guy. I would be putting on my socks and shoes and he would snatch my other sock or shoe and run off to hide and then he would sit and watch me as I hunted for it. Little ratchedsnatchedbrownandwhitetroublemaker. Then one day last week he didn't seem to be hisself he just layed around and had trouble breathing. Lymph Node Cancer is the diagnosis. The vet says he may last 8 months. Cooper, my dog, was a rescue dog. I had to save him from his previous owner. They kept him in a pet carrier from 6 AM till 6 PM 6 days a week for a year. When they had him neutered they left the steel staple in his groin for 9 months. I had to take him to the vet and have it removed. They were going to shoot him because he was hyper and peed and pooped in the carrier after 12 hours and spilled his water and food bowl in the small carrier. #%7*&^% Them is cuss words. Don't use cuss words please. I took Cooper home and he is the best dog I have ever had. Now I have to watch him suffer and drain into nothing. There is no amount of money to save him. The vet says this is it. I am taking lots of pictures and spending all my free time with him. Death is a natural part of life. Cooper just never got a fair deal. When he finally got a fair deal now he has to die. This really sucks. After a reasonable time mourning him I will get another Jack Russell Terrier and I will call him LIL Duece Coup that means little cooper # 2. It was also the name of a song from the 1960's by Jan and Dean I believe.

You have my sympathy. Loosing a pet is just as bad if not worse than losing a loved human. It takes time. Keep an inside pet and don't let it out. When my darling
"precious" passed from a virus and the vet couldn't save her, I made a memorial for keepsake, her pics and her hair which I had trimmed from her body before they picked her up (humane society) Then I ran into a person with a hairless, and bought her, I have pics of her too.
All my dogs have a place in my heart, and comfort me from where they are. I hang their pics near my bed now that I'm too old to have a dog to take care of. I don't think you ever forget your pet. I had a white kitty that my dad ran over with his car, and I cried for hours, and will never forget becuz it was my first pet at 7 yrs of age. I found my kitty
all cold and lifeless when I went outside to see where she was. it hurts . .

Call your local Humane Society or Dog Rescue to find out if there's a support group in your area.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss....and losing a pet is a dreadful thing to get over....align yourself with like minded people who understand how hard it is to deal with your pet's death. Many people will not understand your grief....or will want you to 'get over it quickly'....but take your time and you'll get through. And don't be in a rush to replace your beloved dogs. When the time is right and you're ready to 'love' again, you'll know it. It's not fair to the new pet: they can't possibly live up to your previous pet's memory.
My deepest sympathies...and good luck.

Oh gosh .. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It is tough losing your pets. Easy for me to say - take it one day at a time... poor dogs. They are always in your heart.
Next time if you get dogs, make sure to give them extra attention so they'd not get attacked by coyotes.

im soo sorry!!! i can only imagine your pain and regret.
get other dogs. for a while, it may seem bad. but it's not.
jus tbe EXTRA CAREFUL not to leave your dogs out in any unprotected area.
and pray for the souls , and meditate. it will help you feel alot better
i wish you the best of luck and remember:
they are in paradise now, in K9 heaven. they're in a better place. but if you keep getting sad, they're good place up there wouldnt be of use. and as long as you were a good owner, then their souls dont have any bad intentions about what happend. it was written in their destiny, and whatever happens is for the best. they're probably having fun with god, right now. having so much fun. they want you to have fun on earth. too. so get other dogs. and meditate and remember that they're in a better place. i hope this will help you. good luck and dont blame yourself. it was in their destiny.. if you ahve any other questions, you can email me at puppy_rok316@yahoo.com

I am sorry to hear that. We just lost our pet too.
It is sad and OK to be upset about it. We felt like we lost a very good friend or family member.
Just remember the good time. They can't get hurt, sick or be sad any more. Hope you have someone nearby that you can talk to or reminisce.
Best of luck.
Before getting another dog. You may have to think about prevention or get an indoor kind.

god that really sucks! I have a friend that has lost at least 3 dogs to a pack of dogs in her area.
When you live in an area like you do your going to have to really secure your yard. I would put up field fence (barbed wire) and attach a hot wire to it to keep them out.
Use one made for dogs so it wont kill them or your own dogs but will zap them enought keep them out and your dogs in.
Or if you have a large piece of acreage you could fence off an area around your home still giving your dogs an area to play in safety.
