Probably because just about all violent crimes affect women in one form or another. They are either the victims of it, or they lose a loved one because of it. Crime affects women more than it does men.

Something else of interest to add to your question. I was in a jury pool and when the question was asked whether we were more inclined toward rehabilitation or punishment, I was quite amazed to hear all but two women voices proclaim "punishment" whereas the majority of the male voices responded with "rehabilitation".

Maybe because most of those on death row have done some horrible things to women.

evr heard of a man getting raped? wht bout sexual harassment....who has to deal with it more? child molestation...more men do it than women....the list can go on man

because alot of henious crimes are committed against women and children...
