OK, make sure you have all the basics covered.
- Make sure he doesn't smoke or drink alcohol. Smoking and drinking are the two single-most common causes of fertility problems in both men and women.
- No tight underwear or trousers and to improve the mobility of the sperm he does have, she should walk around in boxers when he can take his pants off
- Your partner should take an iron supplement with orange juice to help absorb the iron and improve sperm production
- You must ensure that you monitor your fertility and have sex for the three days before, the day of and day after you ovulate
- After you have sex, to give the sperm the best chance, raise your legs and butt off the bed while you lie down and bicycle to make the sperm move faster

Causes of low sperm count can be hard to determine. There are many biological and environmental reasons. There are things your partner can try, but there is no guarantee that any of these will increase his sperm count. Don't use cocaine or marijuana. Don't smoke. Avoid saunas and hot tubs. Take a good vitamin supplement, eat healthfully, loose weight if needed. Use care when bicycling by taking frequent breaks, wear padded bike shorts and use a padded bike seat. Something that you can help with is to keep stress to a minimum. All of these things are just suggestions and will not help with sperm count that is low due to genetic predisposition or other medical reasons. Consult an infertility doctor for further information.

NOthing can be done to increase a sperm count. You need to find out exactly when you are ovulating, don't have sex for a day or 2 before it(let him get a build up) then have sex every other day around this time. My husband has a low count, and my Dr says it only takes one sperm. I now have a 2 year old little boy...

Here are a few tricks to help your chances...as related by a good friend for whom these tricks worked.
1) Let him have a few days, or a week would be better, before the next "attempt". The volume ejected will be greater, and thus, so will your chance of hitting the jackpot.
2) Wear loose fitting non-constrictive underwear (him, not you)
3) Keep his "boys" at a cooler temp. High body heat is the enemy of sperm and will reduce the count. You don't need to pack 'em in ice or anything, but my buddy said sitting on a cold pack helped.
He now has 3 kids so something must have worked!
Hope this info helped.

Try approaching a dietician... diet can improve a man's sperm count and motility of sperm. Smoking and alcohol can also have an effect on fertility for men and women.
If he's overweight, then shifting the excess and taking up regular exercise can help.

There are pills that can help. Selenium, zinc and I think there's a "man" pill you can get from boots. Who told you he had a low count? Our Dr told us my husband had a low sperm count but when we attended a fertility clinic they said it was fine. Apparently 70% of sperm is abnormal!! It only takes 1 to hit the target!!

Try standing on your head (use a cushion ig you like) for at least an hour after intercorse. That should work, though you might have to try a few times. Also, no peeing all his hard work out.
