Boy it cost more to process it and send it than it is worth.
But sometimes checks like these are issued to people with outstanding warrants or people that owe back child support. It is done in order to track you down to see if it gets cashed and if you received it at the address they have listed for you.
So if you have neither of these then deposit it or keep it for a laugh.
I once received a check for 25 cents fro the friend of the court, I still have it.

Well, invested wisely in a diverse portfolio of domestic and overseas invesments as well as various bonds over a 20 year period and your 91 cents may turn into lunch for you!

feel lucky. I sent my own town a check and I had over payed them on my excise tax for my car and I didn't get a dime back. it was a couple of dollars . At least the phone company is honest. go out and buy yourself your favorite candy bar, gum is .99 where I am at.

Wow thats quite the check. Don't spend that all in one place. You better put that large of an investment in the bank, let it draw some intrest before you decide where to spend it.

I would use the money to call them from a pay phone to thank them.

Another option is to buy a quart of gasoline!
