When you boil it down aren't all wars an inability of one or both sides to see the other's point of view? All wars are fought over ideas. I think that wars will always been fought, there will always be people who will not abide by what is right.

The clash of civilizations has been written of in depth. As we approach a global economy cultures will be drawn closer and in some instances clash. Educated people will be able to overcome these differences. Others will utilize any and all methods to conquer. These will often be the result of intolerance and often have religious roots such as Islamism or anti-semitism. Predjudice should never be tolerated at any level and it will have significant economic and developmental penaties for nations who display it.

I don't see it as a clash as much as things coming to a head. I think we all came from the same place, started out the same, and degenerated as a race over time. What we do today determines tomorrow. And we are all alike.
