You have to post somehting in your local paper saying somehting like " Searching for John Doe, Seeking Divorce!!!!" At least that's whats' required in Texas. That way it shows you treid lookng for him and if he doesn't answer than it's like he's signing off on the marriage since he didnt' care to contact you.

You would have to file a petition and he will have a certain amount of time to answer the petition. You would have to use constructive service, ie process server, the sheriff in the town where he lives, a newspaper ad, an Internet ad, search with the local law enforcement offices, you have to show that judge that you have done everything in your power to locate the other party. Do you have his last know address? His mom's address, sister's address, etc? If you have done absolutely everything that you can, you can file a Judicial Default in your favor. Good Luck

I don't know were you live but all you have to do is just go up to the Court House and get the papers. Fill them out . Ask the clerk at the Court House about what you need to do. I'm doing the same thing . I'm just waiting for the Courts to get back to me. And most of all PRAY. Every thing will go well.

Hire a lawyer. Then file for divorce under Abandonment. depenning on our state, psysical separation are grounds for divorce after so many years of living apart. Then the court can grant you a divorce by default. Good luck.

My niece was in your shoes dear. However, she still got her divorce on the grounds of 2 year Desertion. You will need to supply the date of when your spouse left you and show that you have not heard from your partner since that date. You cannot start divorce proceedings until your spouse has been left for two years.
So, good luck!

Contact his parents, family, friends, drug dealers, arresting cops etc and find out where he is. Then, if you can prove you were living apart you should get an automatic divorce. It wont cost that much. But you really do need to find out where to serve him. If that doesnt work, try checking out his health insurance number / tax number. You can find him....

You dont have to know where he is to get a divorce. Any family law attorney can probably help you out with this cheap, since it shouldnt be contested.

Just go to an attorney and he will take care of it. The ex doesn't have to be present for a divorce.

You will have to find him if you want a divorce...usually the person that files has to pay for it. Luckily I found a ok cheap one and my x agreed to pay for half of it. Can't do anything until you find him...ask his parents, friends or other family where you can find him.
