...I don't even feel that I need to answer this question, seeing as how everyone else has already stated the obvious. However, I'm bored...so here goes.

How dare you stereotype me? People are constantly calling Americans stupid and ignorant because of things they have heard. That would be the same as me saying all africans are starving to death or all french smoke cigarettes and wear striped shirts. And yet you get away with it? No. Could you imagine the backlash that would be inspired by me asking such a question? But since you and many others somehow share the same thinking (or lack thereof) you get a nice head nod or a "way to go, I hate america" . Well forget that. Don't assume that you know how Americans think. Have you met me? No. What about my neighbor, have you met my neighbor? No. Then how dare you say Americans are dumb when you probably never even spent any time with Americans?

Actually, I have a lot more to say but I am going to stop myself. I refuse to try to justify myself any further, when you probably don't comprehend what I am saying to you anyway. Grow up, get an education.

"American" can be dumb, but every country has its dumb people. like other people said, our issues are just a lot more visible. i used to live in India. it's a lot worse there. it seems to me that a lot of people hate America just because it's kind of become cool to do so. George Bush is not America. have you seen his approval ratings? most Americans don't support him. i don't know a single person who supports bush, then again, i live in California. the point is there are dumb people everywhere. for some reason people believe that all Americans are like certain dumb Americans (George Bush)

well one of my friends went to live in America for a year. when she went to school she was suppose to be taking the second from last year only she said she was top in her class for everything, not because she really bright but because they were doing work of what we did in year 9 (13 years old). also a professor came over to our school and was amazed at the stuff we get taught for alevel saying that's the sort of things they teach on the last year at uni.
