The truck was painted in 2003. Some rust spots are visible. But all together the truck is tough. Not to mention a custom roll pan and the cab has a big window. The bed flooring is made up of a 1" hard plastic material covered with bedliner paint. My question is what are these trucks worth these days?

Go to ebay motors and look what they are selling for. Depending on the motor, interior, and paint quality, it could take $4,000. Ive seen 1967-1972 models in that condition take 5 or 6.

As long as the engine is new, I would get it running. Not much to doing that. That in itself will bring the value up. Long wheel base? I have seen some real pieces of junk sell for $3500 +. Short wheel base? If in fair shape, not running, depends on your area, $5'000. Big window in the back is a plus, seems like you know that. If it is a custom, maybe a little more. I am doing a '66 as I am writing this, and am de-chroming it. Chrome is out these days. A lot of variables, very little details. Don't go by any blue book, I doubt you'd even find that year. Check out what people are selling them for in your area. Check out Deal on Wheels on line, or Cars On line to get ideas what they are selling for. If you lived close enough to me, I'd have a ton of parts for you, as I am going with an Art Morrison full Pro-street chassis on this one. Anyway, LWB $1'800 as a project, SWB, $5'000, no less.

Ill tell u what to do. go to a repair shop and ask them to check it out and write you a list of the problems and prices. (its probaly the battery or carborator) now u got 2 choices go to the junkyard get new parts not brand new and sell it for more. or sell it for 1100 or so and show the buyer the list It really depends on when the last time it was when it ran and how it sounded.then put it in athe want ads and a something like autotrader. if i were you i would go to kelleybluebook.com and look up the price. i would do it but idont know what u got in it and what its got.

Well.....you can sell it for about $400, but I suggest you take a different tact. Go to a junk yard and sell the new engine. If the bed is still good, sell the bed. If the "doghouse" (that is the front fenders, grill and hood basically) is good, sell the doghouse. Then sell the wheels and tires and sell the remaining metal for scrap.

It is a lot of work, but, as any corporate raider knows, divide it up and sell it!

Not more then 1500$ a car is not a good investment no matter how much you put in it it will always have the same value. How about the mileage? People also consider that!

Sell the motor, get your money back.
As for the rest, Give it a good washing, polish it till it shines

Then pour gasoline over it and stand back a safe distance, lite.

With a new engine, it would sell faster and for more money if you get it running. How hard would that be? not hard at all.
