Can anyone make sense of those number quiz shows on sat tv?

You may have seen them, you have to add up the numbers and ring in for the chance of winning money.
Loads of people do but always get the number wrong.
It is a con I believe????

It is a con, they never tell you the answer which leads me to this conclusion, if they actually gave an answer then fair enough.

yes they take money of the mugs who phone in
someone somewhere is making a fortune out of them makin the phone call
