When it comes to the best moment of all time, you have to decide college football or NFL. While the NFL has had it's great moments : The Immaculate Reception, the Tennessee finish, College football has had a handful of finishes that outshine all others. I.E. - the Miracle in Michigan, The SMU comeback, The Doug Flutie Hail Mary, and the Choke at Doak. But the most amazing finish and greatest moment in all of football history was when Cal returned the punt with 6 seconds left and flipping the ball almost 10 times to make it to the endzone with the Stanford band on the field and the fans cheering, it was so questionable and so rediculous that it has marked itself out as the greatest ever.

Although it is recent, I'd have to say the Ben Rothelisberger tackle against the Colts. If you're on the Colts, and you make The Bus fumble when he's trying to take it in for the clinching touchdown, and the only thing between you and your team advancing to the next round in the playoffs is a quarterback, you're gonna think you have it in the bag. Ben made a clutch tackle by the toes to save his team from elimination. It might not be the best football moment of all time, but it's definately the greatest moment I have witnessed myself.

the immaculate reception by Franco Harris
Pittsburgh Steelers 6, Oakland Raiders 7, with just over a minute left, the Steelers' Terry Bradshaw fired a pass downfield to halfback John Fuqua, who was hit hard by Raiders defender Jack Tatum just as the ball arrived. It hit one of the players and bounced in the air and, luckily for the Steelers, into the hands of rookie running back Franco Harris. After his "immaculate reception," Harris ran 42 yards to score with 5 seconds left.
My mom was there for that play. It started the Steelers dynasty in the 70's and is still talked about by Steeler fans today.

As much as this pains me to say it, my greatest play in football would have to be WIlliam the Fridge Perry scoring a touchdown in Super Bowl 20 against the Patriots.

However. To this very day I still feel that Ditka made a huge mistake in not giving the ball to Walter Payton on the play and allowing him to go in for the TD. I have a feeling that Walter went to his grave with some resentment towards Ditka for that Boneheaded play.

Well it's so hard to pick just one, so,

Doug Flutie's Hail Mary
The Cal - Stanford running over the band game
Pat Terrell breaking up Florida State's 2 point conversion in 1988
The first game I was ever at and....
for purely humorous reasons, the game I took the 4 1/2 hour bus trip to see. 8 1/2 months pregnant.....you should have seen the look of the people already on the bus when I waddled on. :-)
