What is the best decade of movies?

1930's You had Gone With The Wind (still the biggest movie in history adjusted for inflation) and Snow White the first great animated film. From then on, people have just been building on those two huge steps.

hmmm.... interesting question. It really depends on what kind of movies you like because each decade definitely has a different feel and look to it, and not just because there were technological advances. I love 60's movies because in general they were fun and frivolous. 70's movies were often bordering on psychadelic. 80's were power movies and teen movies, and 90's were more often romantic comedies. I realize that these are really huge generalizations. I prefer 90's movies because they are more socially liberal, but I enjoy and own movies from the last 5 decades.

My opinion is the 70's. The Godfather, Star Wars, Appoc. Now.
Easy Rider. All decades have great films though. Even today one film occasionally is worth the ticket.

hmmmm... either the 1970's (A Clockwork orange, 2001 a space oddesy, Star wars, Dirty harry, The Godfather, Apocolypse Now, Full metal Jacket)
or maybe 1920's and 30's (citizen cane, casablanca, streetcar named desire, countless others)

Based on the fact that I like movies with realistic acting , gore and kick *** action, it would have to be now, sure hollywood may be remaking movies but they are really makig them better.
