Most likely who ever is building your trans is not checking you transes cooling system, it uses your radiator to cool just like your engine does but your engine uses coolant where your trans runs trans fluid thru radiator if your trans lines and\ or radiator is restricted it would explain but only a trans shop has a flow tester to be sure

The Ford Windstar transmission had major problems. We had a 1999 Windstar, and got rid of it because of the transmission. In addition to that problem, the heater went out, and it was going to cost $1800 to repair it.
I miss the "mom-mobile", but my Saturn is dependable.

I don't own a windstar but I have come across alot of these that have had a bad transmission,,why
hmmm,,,just Ford I guess..

My wife drives a 2001 Windstar, and we've never put a transmission in it. It has about 55000 miles.
Sorry yours has had problems, ours has ran great.
