The Ford Windstar transmission had major problems. We had a 1999 Windstar, and got rid of it because of the transmission. In addition to that problem, the heater went out, and it was going to cost $1800 to repair it.

I miss the "mom-mobile", but my Saturn is dependable.

My wife drives a 2001 Windstar, and we've never put a transmission in it. It has about 55000 miles.
Sorry yours has had problems, ours has ran great.
