The christians have been killing indigeonous souls around the world in the name of God since they could muster up an army. This is why the Sacred Heart catholic Church sits on sacred Native American ground at Wounded Knee, South Dakota; a few feet from the massacre grave site. These unarmed elders, women and children were cut down on the frozen prairie by christian soliders. This is specifically why I hate the christians.

No, it is not an underlying trick, nor is it a power play. Think about history and how the Christian "faith" was developed and shaped (by the Church) allowed the concept of a single monotheistic God to develop and then give that a special deity reference in the universe. There are circumstances (unexplainable situations and happenings - some call them miracles) where there comes a time that we as a world see something beyond this earth and that leads us to "faith" in some being - call it God or some other name.... even when science seems to have many of the answers they still come up with "probability theory" which means in effect that they don't have all the answers so they turn to religion or "faith.
Agree that one should never impose "religious belief" on someone else or challenge their belief but it is a wonderful concept for us to dialog about the differences and still find common ground. Some people are so convinced that their way is the right way that they just want to point it out so others may join them in their quest to bring their way of thinking and believing to others. It does not make them bad but gives an opportunity to understand them and how they are different because of their culture, education and faith.

Deep Thoughts...hmm.
Why can't the Creator be a diamond, with infinite facets? Anyone who wants to look at and get to know that diamond will find it beautiful from whatever vantage point he sees it. Doesn't mean he's right and other's are wrong, just a different viewpoint that according to Einstein is all relative.
I believe spirituality is deeply personal and right for the person, and that 'religion' has no right to play god and tell others to think
and believe the way they do. A god of love would never be bossy as that would demean the spirits individuality.
If a 'religion' allows freedom and choice and encourages self-
esteem and empowerment, than it is constructive and positive.
If a 'religion' teaches to be ashamed of who you are, that just
being born into the world is a reason to beg forgiveness and mercy and a need to be 'saved' - than that seems negative, and
destructive to a person as a human being.
LOVE is positive. It cannot co-exist with negativity any more
than oil and water can mix. If God is LOVE, than there is no
room for bossiness, rules, domination, and ridicule.

But you have an incorrect premise in your question. Your question assumes that only Christians believe Jehovah is God to/for all people. All of the major religion (perhaps Buddhism technically excepted) teach that their way is the true way for all. Secondly, Christianity is not limited to "white nations." The first Christians weren't even white--they were Semetic and even North African. Yes, some people who claim Christianity make it seem as if Christianity is only about white people and that Christians of other races must conform to white cultural ideals, but that isn't scriptural, at all. Finally, if someone truly believes that the truth they believe is the truth for all people, wouldn't they feel compelled to tell other people? True, thinking Christians bring a rationality to their outreach, not brainwashing or trying to force conversion, but asking for an open mind/heart and bringing an open debate about truth to the table. And the fact remains that if Christianity is true, no other religion can be. Just as if Islam is true, no other religion can be. Or Hinduism. They contradict each other.

imho all religion is based on brainwashing and is used as a means to retain power over a society. the separation of church & state in the US is essentially why it seems as though religion is dying out in this country since all you hear about on the news are things like 'its against the law to have the 10 commandments in the statehouse'.

A few weeks ago two Mormons came banging on my door. Again. I politely told them the truth - that I don't buy magazines, vacuum cleaners, candy, meat, or Gods from door-to-door salesmen. They indicated that they didn't appreciate my honesty. They told me they were most certainly NOT selling God door to door. I asked them why were they standing on my porch, then? They said, to save your soul. I told them Thank You, but I already have a couple extra in the freezer. They told me I'd go to hell. I told them that was fine with me. They told me I'd go to hell, again. I told them to shoo away and go bother the Baptist next door.
As they left, they screamed "GOD BLESS YOU!" at me.
I hollered back at them, "He'd better not! I'll sue!"
You see? Religions are very silly...and so are most Gods. And their followers are often even more silly.
Best to not take any of them seriously.
