Sounds fine as long as you're not way late and your leave dates aren't flexible.
Why do you need the 2 weeks? My wife just packed a bag and waited for the "call of nature"

With my first baby, he was a week late, so I was scheduled to be induced on a Monday. I took off the Friday before. With my second one, I was planning to work up until I started labor, but he was two weeks early. I went to the hospital Saturday evening for a non-stress test because he wasn't moving much, and ended up having a c-section 45 minutes later. I worked up until the day before (Friday).
The way I look at it is, the less time I take off before the birth, the more time I'll have with the baby after he's born. I have a very low-stress job though...I'm a legal secretary, so other than a good bit of walking, I don't have any heavy lifting, or anything strenuous that I had to do.

You can work up to your due date, if the doctor feels that it is ok. I was planning to take 2 days before (to get the most time with my child as possible), but my water broke 4 weeks early....

I would wait until you are ready to deliver. I took off two weeks early and I was so bored and it made the time seem longer than ever. Seriously take your time. No rush cause that baby is coming either way

That is definately reasonable. I worked up till 3 days my first child and a week with the second one. Your doctor can let you know when it is best, mine did.

Most people work until the day they go into labor (I went into labor getting ready for work one morning). It depends on you and your health, if you and the baby are in good health, then you are not pushing yourself at all.

Ask your OB/GYN. He or she would know best. My wife worked up until the last week before giving birth, and she delivered twins. There is no set answer. Ask your physician.

Most women work until delivery unless there is a medical reason your doctor puts you off work early.
