Depends on my mood. I like everything from Danzig, to Dido. Metallica to Mozart. Generally it's gonna be Rock or Metal. The beat, pace, and audible brashness to it get the heart pumpin, and foot tappin.
Vocalist music like Dido, Jewell, Sara Mclaughlin, etc are more cerebral. Whether or not ya identify with what they're singing about, they've got incredibly beautiful voices. It's the auditory equivalent of a sunset.
Personally, I can tolerate, but don't care for country/western music, but completely despise rap/hip-hop. (and no it's not a racial thing) With a couple exceptions of course. Some songs are against violence of course, but the majority are glamorizing street/gang violence, drugs, or are advertizing how hot or sexually adept the artist himself is.
