because genes sometimes skip a generation. Maybe they had beautiful grandparents.

I don't know how true this is, but my mother told me when I was younger that babies created in love will be beautiful and babies created in lust wouldn't. Funny thing is though, my friend is the queen of one night stands and has 4 kids from 4 different guys and they're all HIDEOUSLY yucky looking. And she's SO BEAUTIFUL. I don't know. I know my hubby and I have been together for over 10 years, have 2 beautiful girls and 1 boy on the way and people are always telling us we're way too lovey for having been together for so long. So, maybe there IS something to the love and lust thing.....

I've never noticed that. What I usually see are the people who are considered attractive by modern standards. They always have really pitiful, homely looking kids. My sister in law and her husband, for example...they're both pretty decent looking people, and their son is the most pathetic little creature. He's got this skinny little body and this gigantic head (yes, ppl...I know it's normal for kids to have large heads, but not when they're in the 95th percentile and their body is only in the 25th percentile!) and this very strange looking nose. He's really not a very cute toddler. We thought he was a strange looking infant, and maybe he'd grow out of it, but now that he's nearly 3, it hasn't gotten any better. A friend of mine jokes and calls him Progeria Boy. (I know progeria is no laughing matter...it's downright sad, but I SWEAR this kid could have it.) And NO, he doesn't. He's just a weird looking kid.

the scientific reason to that is because usually there gene pool is spread so far apart from eachother they sorta meet in the middle to make a buetiful kid if you get to nic elooking people there to close and they end up butt ugly

I know some ugly people that have had ugly kids. And NO not all babies are beautiful.
