I saw The Lake House last Sunday. Perhaps it's not exactly typical Father's Day fare (well, now that I think about it, the relationship between Keanu's character and his dad is not one I want to emulate with my dad or my child), but I was surprised that I was not only entertained but provoked to think. The mechanism of the mailbox separating people in time by two years was an interesting development too (although I got a headache toward the end trying to remember what time events are happening in). I didn't find it that "fantastic" in the sense of a fantasy, but go figure.

I really enjoyed this movie. Thing is, you have to remember it's a MOVIE!! When watching a movie like this you can't be technical in your way of thinking because obviously you would know that a situation like that can't happen in real life BEFORE you went to pay for your ticket. If movies were based on reality than nobody would want to go see them. You know??

I love Sandra Bullock, but the movie was boring as dirt.
My friends and I all thought the same.

It was ok......total chick flick..............
I think they could have done a better job with it...it was to long, to drawn out and I want to know why Keanu waited for her for so long, why couldn't she have just wrote " I am at such and such a place at such and such a time.........if you like that past, future, stuff a better one I thought was the movie with
Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel, called Frequency...........that was good and Caviezel is hot!

When I saw previews for it I thought it looked dumb, but my sister made me go see it with her anyway. I didn't really understand anything in the beginning but as it went on I actually did enjoy it.
