I'm a female jazz musician, and I play the trombone as well as sing. I can imagine this doesn't make a girl any MORE hot, but does it make her less?

I forgot to mention... I play well and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I played lead with a local college band when I was a freshman in high school, and I'm presently practicing for an audition to the army band. It's not so much that I care (I do just fine with the guys) I'm just curious

Talent is hot. Somebody who didn't even have looks going for them becomes hot if they're talented. It sounds like you have a lot to be proud of, be proud. (Especially if you can play the trombone WHILE singing! Now that's talent!) :D

It depends on the girl playing the trombone. The trombone certainly isn't your standard sexy instrument. I used to play the trombone so I can say that it isn't the most flattering instrument for anyone to play. I do get commical ideas in my head thinking about you switching from singing (I'm sure you have a great voice) to grabbing the trombone and blowing away on it. My answer: I think that a pretty girl playing a trombone would throw a curve ball to anyone watching. Less Hot? Probably.

Right on, little sister! Right on. Keep blowin' that slush pump! Sounds like you got the right frame of mind for the gig. If you got the chops, and from what your saying it sounds like you do, then you'll do more than just fine. We need more little sisters in our ranks anyway. In 12 plus years of public school education, I have had less than 10 girls blowing the t-bone part in band. We need cross that gender barrier. Trombone is not a "boy's instrument" at all, is it??

Personally ... I'd like to see more female trombone players. As to whether it makes you hot or not, it's more to do with attitude than the instrument ... methinks anyways. Having said that, I think showing that you have the dedication to learn something like that would certainly make you more attractive. It says a lot about you as a person.

I think all women who play a musical insturment are hot I play a euphonium and I sit next to the trombones and the women are hot when playing

I play trumpet and understand what goes into being a successful musician. Not just the discipline, but the strong kisser. It is very attractive to meet someone who shares the same dream of performing and understand what goes into it.

I don't think it makes her "less hot", the way I think is it's what's on the inside that counts, if a guy cant take a girl for who they are on the inside then in my eyes they are just complete punks......music instrument or not, it doesnt matter, ya gotta think whats on the inside :D

It depends on how well she plays!
If she is good and confident about it, then it would be fine or even intriguing. I think nowadays people are more open-minded.
