European explorers, as you euphemistically call them, interacted with Native Americans, as they interacted with ALL groups in the southern hemisphere with whom the came into contact, as history clearly shows: GENOCIDE & SLAVERY...right up to TODAY. Slavery being defined as one dominating influence over another.

Just think of Evo Morales being elected the very FIRST indigenous leader of Bolivia - just a few months ago - after centuries of European domination. Can you imagine saying the same thing today about ANY European country. Or, to put your question in proper perspective, just ask yourself this question: When do you think a Native American will be elected President?

Truthfully, then, those whom you call 'European explorers' were/are bona fide terrorists by ANY definition. Terrorism being defined as any system that deprives the individual of his/her INALIENABLE, divine fundamental human rights and freedoms.

They for the most part, tricked them with cheap and unfail trades, they killed them, enslaved them. The European explorers were far from nice to the Native Americans.

You know what the upside is? When Ponce de Leon and all of the other Spanish "Explorers" came to Florida, the heat , the humidity and mosquitos drove them nuts.

In the name of greed, they masacered the Native Americans and unknowingly infected them with diseases which wiped out 2/3rds of the population.

They killed them, disrespected them, enslaved them. they took advantage of them. They often raped the women. I did a big research project on desoto with my son once and i was appalled. I was ashamed that we have a bridge on I-40 named the hernando de soto bridge. I don't know if lewis and clark were better or not.
