I work at construction company, as an estimator, and this is the first time i have ever heard of a Crib Wall. I have found some pictures of what they are suppose to look like, but are they just suppose to be a glorifed/cheaper Retaining Wall?

Never heard of a Crib wall. Generally a crib is anything you build that holds other objects. Example:Corn Crib. So I imagine this crib was designed to hold something else.
