In my opinion, FIFA has made it clear that all refs must convert to "their" style of officiating, by calling penalities on anything and everything, even if not "seen", but sold, ala Italy and their amazing ability to lay on the ground like fish or whores in heat.

By calling for more fouls right before the World Cup, FIFA is creating a nightmare by taking refs themselves out of their normal calling game, in lieu of "FIFA's wants and needs". Its a shame - but hey - considering they won't render a decision of Italian bribes, fraud, etc of players , coaches and Italian refs until AFTER the World Cup - we clearly know their intent and favorites.

Then there are Lorrando officials - who are just so horrible and a joke - that the only explanation is FIFA are corrupt scumbags who are selecting corrupt, scumbag refs. Lorrando was removed from the 2002 World Cup, after his own countries (Uruguay) suspended himn for "inconsistencies" in over 4 international matches and bribes.
For any FIFA apologist - expalin how and why FIFA selected a ref who has already been found to be a liar, a crook and a man with zero intergrity and respect for the sport. There are hundreds of qualified refs in the world - why "reselect" a known violator and coward?

They can be not only bad but also a blatant liar. I still can't believe this, in the Kor vs Switz, the sub referee lifted his flag for off side, but when the referee asked him if he did after Prei made a goal, he said he didn't. A coward liar! If you can't believe this watch the game again. I watched it four times.

I usually assume that any complaints about referee calls are due to "sour grapes", but I am astonished at the consistent string of poor officiating decisions during this years world cup.

I think refs are always bad but theres just more eyes on them in the world cup. I think they should have one ref on each half. And seriously, something to determine whether someone is offsides, some chip or somthing

They always are, it's a big pitch and anyone who would be a ref is by definition an idiot.

B/c it's easier to be a spectator then it is to be a ref. It's all how the ref sees it.
