normally, you could check out to see if your state has a common law marriage....some states, after cohabiting for 7 years you're deemed to be married. This can't happen since he's already married.
You have no rights to any of his property, and he to none of yours. you have no right to alimony. if you have a child together you DO have a right to child support.
The state has a funny way of not protecting the rights of those committing adultery, which is what both of you are doing. You should not have moved in with him and melded your life to his, until he was officially divorced. You can get divorced and have the property settlement come later, so if he's been feeding you the line of he can't get divorced until the settlement is agreed upon, he's been yanking your chain.

you seem to be up the creek without a paddle. my suggestion would be to get out as quickly and quietly as you can, so you can take your stuff with you before he has a chance to take it. You can have an officer come to the home to help you get your stuff if he won't give it to you or has had the locks changed or you're scared of him. But this is for things that are yours without question. for example, if you bought furniture together in your 8 years together, you can't claim it to be yours and only yours, and the officer won't let you take it.
there may be some way for you to get the courts to help you divide the property you bought together, but the only recognized category you are in is that of roommates, and the courts don't usually get into those situations. You really are generally f****d in the eyes of the law.

i dont think you'd have rights to anything in the house, except what you OWN. Contact your police department and ask. Keep out some of the details (i.e. about his drinking and abuse)... and see if possibly a Peace Office could come out with you to get your stuff.

Since you are not his wife, and I assume that the kids are not his, you have no rights. Get a job and learn from this not to get involved with a married man.

No.. you are not entitled to any of it, his wife is. You might try suing for palimony...but because he is still married, I doubt you'd get anything but a bill from the attorney.
