I was divorced & remarried after 3 years.
I have now been remarried for 26 happy years.
A marriage has to be worked at.
There are always going to be bad times but the trick is to work through them together & to support each other.

I've had 2 failed marriages, the first time I got divorced it did not put me off marrying again, but perhaps it should have! I am now going through my second divorce but am dating, I have been with my b/f for 2 years. In the case of my first two marriages I did not live with the men before we married, I would say that's a pretty good indication as to whether it will work or not and I am now living with my b/f so I know what he is like in every day life etc. I am being much more cautious, it has not put me off but I want to spend longer getting to know my b/f first.

I have been divorced for over a year now- (we were together for 7 years total)
I am not reluctant to get married again-
I am more reluctant to introduce my new guy to family members (my ex was sleeping with my cousin)-
I actually am not scared of doing it again. I believe in the sanctity of marriage, and this time I will be older, wiser, and love that person truer, and longer-

Yes definately more reluctant. I don't want to go through it again. Plus I see how people change once they getmarried and live together. I'm scared that the next time I marry the person will change. I would do it again however it must be with the right person. And if I don't find her then I won't get married again. I'd rather die alone than unhappy.

Today I would say yes, getting divorced definitely put me off getting married again. But then, today I'm single & still looking for the right man. Tomorrow I might meet him and decide that marriage is the right thing. It all depends on the person.

Yes I am more reluctant. I have decided that if you are with someone and you are right for eachother you will stay together regardless of whether you marry or not. But then again, I haven't met anyone yet even worthy of my love, let alone considering futures etc.

At first I was unwilling to consider marriage again but I found a great guy and married him and I am glad I did because he was the love of my life and we had a great life together. He passed away 2 years ago.

Never be scared of doing what feels right.
You obviousley got divorced for a reason, and that does not mean that it will happen again, life is what you make it,.
I am divorced and had some of the happiest times of my life with my husband, its just unfortunate that we couldnt make it last forever.
Dont tell yourself that it wont work next time round, because it may prove to be the best thing you ever do.
GOOD LUCK X

If I had met husband number 2 before I had married husband number 1 then I doubt I would ever have been divorced

Right now the divorce rate is about 60%, but if you are in a second marriage the rate jumps up to 71%. If its your third marriage it goes to 86%, and so on and so forth.

no. I am getting married again. I loved the first man I married. It just didn't work out. In life you have to try, try again until you get it right or you might end up old and lonely.
