I assume that a power factor is zero and current and voltage are given in RMS values then
Pin=IV= 4x120=480 Watts
Pout=.8 (Pin)= 384 Watts
Horsepower = Pout/ 746W = .515 HP or ~1/2 HP

Power input = IV = 4x120 W

Power output = 0.8 x4x120 W

So, in hp = 384/746 = 0.51474 hp

assuming DC or no AC power factor to worry about...

Power = Volts x Amps in Watts.

you know the conversion HP to and from Watts.

you do the math like you are supposed to.
