Don't get me wrong, I hated the guy....he was a terrorist, so f*ck him. But when we celebrate death, I can see the line that seperates us from them start to dissappear. It just reminds me of the sickos that stand outside of a prison celebrating when there's an execution. That sorta stuff just kinda makes me uneasy.

Are you saying that a celebration of death is wrong. Whats wrong with you. When my cat died we had a block party. People are just awesome like that. Ha... sorry about the death of Zarqawi really didnt do much for me either way. Yeah I am glad that one less butt pirate is running around but that just pissed his little group off more and there are 1,000's just like him. Eh whatever but yeah... celebrating death is kinda..... morbid

I don't know about celebrating but there is nothing wrong with being glad that a person bent on destroying us is now gone.
What do you mean people who stand outsid of a prison celebrating when there's an execution? I have never in my life seen that and I actually follow it fairly closely. I do see people who are out there celebrating the life of a killer while ignoring their actions and the consequences to the victims. I also sometimes see people who want the execution to go through because of justice and they are there to respect and remember the victims. I have never seen a celebration. Give a specific example with proof of your claim.

It makes me uneasy too cause the Iraqi war is crazy why are we over there? They never will tell you. Sure Al-Zarqawi was bad, but we shouldn't really celebrate his death. Hussein is a bad guy too, but we should be going after Bin Laden! Another thing too many innocence people die on death row so until we get the all-knowing power of God we should stop because the law isn't perfect! Bush sucks!

I agree with you, I think that America sees themselves as this Wild Bill Hickock where we are gonna clean up the outlaws and we should be a hero for killing. I just don't think it works that way and we give up the moral high ground when we start celebrating the corpses of our enemies. We should figure out the causes for terrorism and stop those instead of just fighting the symptoms.

The part that made me uneasy was that we were so offended with them showing pictures/videos of the people they were killing/had killed. Then we go and splash pictures of his dead body all over the place? How does that make us any better than them? I'm okay with us being in Iraq while its necessary...but that behavior just seemed uncalled for.

right now it's acceptable and people are still grieving the lost of loved ones on 911 however, celebrating death is not a good thing , or good morality or any decent adjective you can use, nevertheless,it does give the American people a bit of closure and satisfaction

No, we should have stuffed and wrapped his body with bacon and buried him on AL-Jezera TV.
