My doc told me that movement will decrease because baby is running out of room
As long as you still feel movement everything is good to go.
When you feel no movement at all this is when they say the baby could be in distress and you need to get to the hospital
I'm 33 weeks and baby is upside down and ready to go.
I still feel allot of movement. Like baby is rolling around in there.
Now is when you should be able to tell if it's a foot or a shoulder poking you

i think there are 2 parts to your question:
1. it is quite normal for a baby to be in any position ( including head down) at 29 weeks. The baby may turn and turn again many times before you are due anyway, so head down now or not does not matter too much.
2. the baby generally moves more and more through the pregnancy until about 32 to 34 or 36 weeks. After that the movement may reduce but this is very subjective. If you think your baby is moving less than before, as a precaution, it is best to consult your doctor and may be have a ctg (checking the baby's heart rate pattern) done.

I am almost 29 weeks as well. My baby is due September 13. He was head down at my last doctor's visit and I didn't really feel much movement. Now Im pretty sure he's back in the breech position and Im feeling tons of movement. Especially crazy kicks to my bladder. LOL But my doctor told me to check for 10 kicks in a two hour period. Thats not too hard to do and if its anything less than that, give them a call. Your baby is probably fine.

As the baby gets larger movement seems to decrease because the baby has less room to move. The biggest thing is that you feel movement everyday. Lay on your left side this seems to increase blood flow and the baby is more active.

Both of my boys were head down for a long time. If you're only 29 weeks, she could still flip around as she's probably not huge yet and has plenty of room to move around. :) I could tell when my boys moved because I could feel their heads (from the outside) most of the time, and could tell when they were head down. I didn't notice any more or less frequent movements when they were head down vs. any other position.

Friend told me that her baby boy's head was head down since 25th week and felt him move all the time ...
Her doctor told her that once the baby stops moving means she/he's ready to come out ...
She said the baby stopped moving a day before the baby was born ...
Baby was born almost 2 weeks late ...
Hope this helps ...

if they still have room to move around they will. I had my twins at 32 weeks and the day before they did an ultrasound and they were both head down and the next day they checked again and one of them had turned and layed sideways under my ribs (transverse i think they called it) So if they can do it with the little room they had yours probably can too. You should still feel her move everyday.

I'm not a doc...but I was told that as long as I felt my baby move during the day, then I shouldn't worry. But I would check anyway. Once my baby didn't move for hours and hours. The doc told me to each chocolate or Ice cold coke and that should "jolt" the baby into moving. It did and he didn't stop for hours.

sweetie, not to worrie:) as long as you still feel her move every day. most babys will calm down once in the birth postion because it is much smaller in there. not much room to move. good luck and GOD BLESS.
