Wow people can be brutal. I think that if you work hard enough you could get published.

Here is a rule I got online: Most novels these days run about 60,000-100,000 words long. Figure out how many words you have so far and that should give you a good estimate. Usually I would say a couple of hundred pages would be on the low end.

This is not to say what you have is bad! You might be writing a short story (which could be as short as 8 pages!) or a novella (shorter than a novel, mine was 140 pages but I never got it published). Keep working and most importantly, KEEP WRITING! Good luck!

Well it depends on the type of book. Is it a children's book with pictures? Or is it a teen or adult book with out pictures? But the real question is: Is your story complete? If you have enough information that when someone reads the book it will feel completed then; yes. However, 8 pages sounds more like a short story than a novel. If that's the case then you can make many short stories and publish a book of them

More than 8 pgs... that's for sure.

Maybe you should try a bunch of short stories if you are having trouble writing a whole book.

Or just not write a book at all.

Each MW document page is equal to one hand written page. But you should deffinatley write more than 8 pages because no one would consider that a novel especially compared to the davinci code, and harry potter. GOOD LUCK =]

A standard novel has a couple of hundred pages.

I don't believe I'd be interested in spending good money on a book that was 8 pages long.

You just keep writing until you get to the end of the story. Let the publishers and editors worry about the number of pages. That's their job. Your's is to just write the story.

Books are all different. Some are short and some are very long. It depends on what type of book you are thinking to write.

1. You'll never get published.

2. Unless it's some work of short story genius (which I know it won't be), no one will touch it. 8 pages isn't even a script.
