You should be careful about what company you get hooked up with for mystery shopping. There is a scam out there where they send you a check as a "test" and ask you to cash it with you getting to keep a certain amount of money and have you send them the difference but the checks are fake. I did mystery shopping for Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried chicken and AMC Theatres and I had to pay for everything up front and they would reimburse the costs plus pay an extra 25.00 for the report but It was a long time ago and it was hard to fit into my schedule everyday. Usually takes a couple weeks to get your money.

My friend did it for years. It's more like entertainment. It really doesn't pay much at all. That is my experience. I used to go with her to the shopping things. They would tell you what to order or buy and you would write down who the waiter was and who the manager was at the time and if they offered you fries with that and how long it took to get your food etc. Or whatever. It was pocket change, not real employment.

I did it years and years ago for KMart. It was great around Christmas time since basically I would go in, buy something, and then send the receipt into the company and they would pay me back for the whole thing. I did a lot of decent Christmas shopping that year! *lol*

But as far as using it to pay bills and such, I don't think it's possible.

I know someone who did. The money was okay but a lot of the jobs she would have had to drive quite a distance to shop there and would not have been worth it. If you live in a city go for it. Chances are the assignments are close.

A friend did it. She ended up spending more to be the "customer" then she got back from the company. She said it sucked.

my dad did it for Jack in the Box a long time ago and he got very very sick after doing it. I think that it damaged his body in the long run because of it.
