Flattery will get you through to a certain extent, but then people become aware of you if your too nice, and after a while your behavior seems false, so no i wouldn't agree that flattery gets you everywhere, or that it gets you nowhere, there has to be a balance between the two.

The putting forward is easily 'Flattery receives you nowhere. (Flattering me gained't strengthen your probabilities of fulfillment.) It signifies that through using flattery, all you do is rub down a persons' ego besides the undeniable fact that it would not help get you what you imagine it would. 'Flattery will take you nowhere or everywhere.' only signifies that some people would fall for the flattery and furnish you with what you want - maximum will see through it and deny you.

Nothing will get you nowhere or everywhere. Flattery will, of course, get you somewhere. It would be good to decide first , however, where and what you want to be. What you want to get is beside the point.

it'll do you good with stupid people and some smart ones too. once people catch on, you will wind up labeled a hollow kiss a*s. then it'll get you nowhere, cause your spot will have been blown up
