I'm going to an auction very soon to purchase a 10305 sf lot. how is the best way to find out if the land is buildable before the auction.

there are these surveyor guys who examine soil to evaluate its potential for residential or commercial building. I'm not sure where to find them though...you might want to google or call a local contractor in your yellow pages.

Unless it's swamp land i'm sure you can built on it. If it's a zoning issue call the county planning office and ask. They are extremely helpful b/c they will get taxes from your property. The fastest method is to contact an engineer or architect in the town where the property is located. They should be familiar with the zoning requirements for the town and should be able to tell you if a house can be built on the property.
