Third time was the charm for me. But if I had not gone through the 2 bad marriages, struggled through the tribulations, cried the tears, grew the backbone, etc...I wouldn't be the person I am. I would not be worthy of this wonderful love I finally found. My grandmother used to say God is cruel, but His cruelty is refining. Hardships refine our souls. Make us better people if we let them. Love has to be hard because we need those lessons. But remember, real love is kind, thoughtful, truthful, real love never belittles, or injures. Real love is sometimes silent.

It's only hard because a heart is fragile to emotional pain and sensitive to love. It will get easier when you find the right person and harder when you want to make it work with the right person. But if you stop to look at your accomplishments, you'll know the harder love is, the better the outcome. Of course, I believe in order to get the best out of love, the feeling has to be mutual or what my mother always told me 'Find a man that will love you more than you love him. That way, you'll be taken care of for the rest of your life.' I don't know if that's true but it sounds good.

hi kate wow that's what i use to ask myself all the time but i applaud you for wanting to experience love or trying to give it away first of all love is hard because some people have never had love and dont know how it really feel sometime you have to teach people how yo love and their hearts will open up so big and their whole attitude will change and they will be so graeful that you did that for them if you really love someone you have to show it and you have to teach so it's really hard work but as they say it will pay off in the end you will see and dont be too agressive be gentle good luck.

Love to you may be hard because Love is a sacrifice. When you love somone you love them no matter what . You always put the other person first. Love means a passionate feeling of affection for another person. Passion comes form the latin word Passio which means suffering. Think about the passion of the Christ. He passioned for us. He suffered for us. Love is a hard thing to do, Which is why it has to be willing.

Love is hard because we do not understand it. Because it is not concrete, there are always questions. Is this love I feel for him? How do I know when I am in love? Out of Love? Can you feed love so it grows? Do you have to work to love people sometimes? Love is weird and therefore hard.

I think it is because life isn't always fair, and everyone is different. Some people it may take time for, but for others it comes naturally. Love is a challenging business, but you need to stay strong and look for the one. Good luck.

Love is a selfless surrender of oneself. To love another being without hesitation, and conditions is by far the purest act selflessness. Anything less than this is easy enough to accomplish and that wouldn't be love in the purest and truest form.

Because everything worth having takes a lot of effort. It takes continuous work. But it is so worth it! It isn't something you get and just forget about. Think about it. Even love from a pet, you still have to feed them, water them, take them to the vet, pet them etc.
