Get the hell out of here for all the people who said Ben Wallace. Dirk isn't a great defense player. How can you be 7'0, athletic, and not be good on defense. With height and speed like that, he should be blocking everything that comes his way. Ben can always get a offensive rebound and put it back up. Dirk doesn't get off. rebounds cause he always takes jump-shots, which is why I think they lost the finals(So angry cause I hate MIA). Ben's great defense got him a ring, Dirk's jump-shot lost him a championship. Oh, and oatmeal, the point of Basketball is to win games...

dirk on defense. he is 7 ft tall and cant guard the smallest player on the other team. ben wallace can grab offensive rebounds which is better than dirk letting a player score an easy two points over him. and ben wallace can make some points. but dirk also gets the rebounds.

Without question it's Ben Wallace on offense.

Dirk isn't that bad of a defender. He's 7 feet tall and usually guarding someone shorter and much faster.
However, Dirk did grab over 11 rebounds a game and rebounding is a huge part of defense.

Ben Wallace is dismal on offense. No shot, no moves, no ballhandling skills, no passing skills. There is no hope!

Dirk on Defense ...

Ben isn't put in the offense much, but when he does he is good for a slam or a power move for a layup. Free throws is obviously different. Dirk is just horrid at defense. His defense is slightly better than Ben's free throw shooting

Ben Wallace on offense. He can't score no matter what you do, he even misses lay-ups. At least with Dirk you can put him to play defense on a bad player and he will do alright.

Ben Wallace's offense is extra lacking. Ben has no offensive skill by any skill. He won't be able to shoot, dribble, or bypass. the in uncomplicated phrases component he can do is dunk. now and again he hits a layup. He won't be able to even hit a touch 3 foot hook shot. at the same time as Steve Nash would play adverse human being protection, his crew protection it ok, that signifies that he slides over to assist his teammates if their guy receives through.

You don't get on the 1st team all-NBA if you don't play defense. Its tough to swallow but Dirks defense has gotten better, not great, but first team all-NBA caliber. Ben Wallace air-balls free throws this is no contest, its Wallace's offense.

Wallace on offence. If you can guard, that's great! But the whole point of basketball is to try and get thte ball in the hoop. If you can't do that..find a different sport. With Nowitzki, he can at least try to make some points for the team. But with Wallace, all he can do is defend, the points won't go up.
