I got 1/16 yard is that right???

5/8 divided by 10....dividing fractions easy as pie flip the second one over and multiply.....so 5/8 times 1/10 which is 5/80 which is 1/16....i think

Babe, that's an same because the perfect one: L of shorter piece = x m L of longer piece = (10 + x) m 10 + x + x = 22 10 + 2x = 22 2x = 22 - 10 x = 12/2 = 6 m for this reason, length of the longer piece = 10 + x = 10 + 6 = 16 meters.

Yes, 1/16 yard is correct.

5/8 *1/10 = 5/80 = 1/16

I would cut it skinny-ways and make 10 pieces of string that are each 5/8 yard long.
