My daughter loved sugar in the womb. She always became more active after I ate sweet things. I almost felt sorry for her when I took the glucose tolerance test. She was all over the place. My nurse practitioner even laughed and remarked on her activity.

Yes, any kinda sugar or sweets or caffeine anything that might make a baby hyper can do the same in utro, that's why if you don't feel much movement in a day the doc will tell you to eat something sweet or drink some OJ, it usually works if nothing is wrong
Good luck

I am sure all mother's react differently. Since you are eating sugar, you are probably getting the baby active enough to kick. Don't you ever get a sugar high?

Yes. Sugar works on the baby in the womb as much as it will when he is out. When I was being monitored twice a day, we (the ladies of the high risk ward) used to much on chocolates and candies to wake the kid up.... :)

I think your baby has a fondness for sweets!! That's so cute!! When I was pregnant, my son used to kick more after sex. Weird huh? It's normal, I think everybody experiences something different.

When I was pregnant, my baby would kick a lot after I ate spicy food. I guess your little one likes sweets!

My kid's thing was yogurt!!

When I brought this phenomenon up with my OB/GYN, she said it was the influx of sugar that was hyping up the baby! Go figure - kid's getting a sugar rush and not even born yet!
