The New York Times is allied with all of our countries enemies not just Al-Queada. The Times wishes to take down the Bush administration and any aid to the enemy is collateral damage and acceptable to the owners and publishers.

Well I think you need to find out how many terrorists we have caught by checking millions of people bank accounts in over 200 countries. If you can find a good couple 1000 people that have been caught in this fashion then the New York Times was in the wrong, however, if no one is being caught and every ones rights are being violated all over the world then screw the administration and the New York Times is doing there job, they are keeping the people informed, that's us, and if we are not informed then we get pissed off that the government is ******* a bunch of peoples privacy. I think that ties in with the whole starting America thing checks and balances, democracy, you know all those things that don't exist anymore.

aThe New York times exposes all of the ways that we gather intelligence about Al-Queada. This helps Al-Queda and in no way helps the US. How is it possible to see it any other way than they are helping the enemy.

I don't think they do it for the purpose, but yes their news stories certainly aid the enemy. Why they have not been brought to task on that, legally, is beyond me.
It should be illegal to publicly disclose a classified program to any entity other than congress, the white house, or the judiciary (privately). The public needs to trust, in a time of war especcially, that the three branches of government will hold up to the checks and balance system.
I am so tired of politics.

No. The Government is helping Al-Qaida, by leaking information to the NYT. If the NYT has no idea how we track terrorists, then they would have nothing to report about it. The gov't needs to keep their mouth shut.
Btw, I don't see you angry at the Wall Street Journal or the L.A. Times, they ran the same article.

Yes, they are helping the terrorists. On their behalf, I don't think they actually set out to help the terrorists, but they will do anything to promote their number one agenda of bashing George Bush, and his administration, and our military, and the War on Terror. The al qaeda aiding and abetting is just an unfortunate fallout from their misguided hatred.

Obviously, anyone who believes the Republican Party should own the US, lock, stock and barrel, and who support the Imperial Presidency.
Even Reagan said, "Trust, but verify." The Bush administration's motto is, "Trust, but verifying is out of the question and unpatriotic."

GW Bush is Al-Qaeda's biggest recruiter....that's a no-brainer....Bush's actions in Iraq has caused Al-Qaeda to sign up more members.
