jpegs are also files...you can burn anything..any software which you nrmally use to burn cd's can b used.though for copying jpeg's off the web you would need to copy them locally to you hard drive(computer) and then burn them onto a cd/dvd.

Yes it is. Any program that can burn data cd's would be able to have jpg's on it. Just about any burning program has this ability. Windows XP also has the built in ability to do so.

JPeg is a type of compression used for images. It can be burnt on CD like any other piece of data i.e .bmp, .txt, etc.
Xcopy could be used when using the DOS command prompt or Nero CD burner which is user friendly, easy to use software.

Yes this can be done in the same way as video files and most DVD players these days can read the discs and play the images.
If you just want to store images for use on your PC just burn as data disc.

You dont favor particular application, you could convert bitmaps to jpegs in MS paint, only load it into the relativly crapy software and click save as and adjust the kind to 24-bit bitmap. the will be no lack of accuracy through using paint, you'll finally end up with an same high quality as a 500 pound replica of photoshop
