Unplug it from your CPU box, put it into a microwafe and set it for 10 seconds... just kidding!
You'd never do that. I would suggest you either turn off your computer of unplug from your CPU, use a compressor (you can get them from any office supply store/ best buy/ circuit city) and kind spray the keyboard (don't do excessively). This is the first step to reduce and elminate dust and such.
Take a few cotton balls and apply a little bit of rubbinb alcohol or sanitizer, and then clean your keys (surface wise). This should do the work.
If all these work isn't what you're interest, perhaps washing your hand/ dry them, BEFORE you use your computer EACH TIME (so you keep your keyboard clean), and wash (with soap) your hands AFTERWARD (to keep your handS clean).
If all these works sounds like a piece cake, then I'd say do them all-together if you have the time and dedication. I hope my suggestion helps/ answers your question. Thank you.

Shut down your computer, spray Lysol or some other disinfectant on a cloth and wipe down the keyboard and mouse. Do not spray directly on the keyboard and mouse.

I use lysol dysinfectant wipes, or spray lysol. It dries quick and kills the bacteria. Just don't go nuts with the spray if you use it. The point isn't to soak the keyboard.

I would use Fabreeze antimicrobial with a light mist sprayed over the top then come back with dusting cloth to get the rest of it off.

I like to use cleaning wipes, like Lysol Wipe or Clorox wipes. Those will kill bacteria but there is no dripping to damage your hardware.
