Ball State University in Muncie Indiana does an excellent job.
They also offer many areas of expertise.

Some people can be so nasty. Don't worry about your spelling right now. It takes more than great spelling to be a great teacher. I live in Kansas and went to Emporia State University, which began in the 1800's as a premier teacher's college. Good luck!

If you are in the midwest, Northwest Missouri State University is the best for teachers. There is an onsite lab school where you do your observations, practicums, and possibly your student teaching. The surrounding communities have great schools that utilize students from NWMSU.

In NY, a college well known for teaching teachers is SUNY Cortland (that is where I went).
