What does your wife have to do for you to make you happy? Do you ask her to? Does she just know? Or do you talk about what your needs and desires are?

glad you asked:

1. i want her to want me sexually, as men we know that you think of sex as some primal urge, an itch to be scratched, etc. but it is important to us, it makes us feel loved, wanted, desired by you, and it is our way of feeling intimately connected to you.

2. i want loyalty in everything. dont side with your parents or your girlfriends EVEN IF HE'S WRONG. you made a committment to each other. you can try to get him to see things differently if you do think he's wrong, but dont EVER publicly side with someone else.

3. we want you to take care of us. no this doesnt mean you have to do all the housework. it means give of yourself even when you dont feel like it.

4. listen and be open to what he has to say and always try to see any difference of opinion from his side, while we don't expect to win every fight, it is nice when at least the woman in your life can understand where you are coming from

5. if you have kids, the kids do not come first. society today will tell you different. let me tell you, the best thing you can do for your children is to love your spouse, do not stop being a wife when you become a mother, yes they need your attention but your husband needs some too

6. be publicy proud of him and brag on him to your friends

7. nonsexual affection goes a long way

I would like it if my wife would keep our home cleam and look after the kids.

This is not a sexist thing, I spent 3.5 years at home doing that whilst she worked, after I broke my back. Now I work (as I can earn more) I think that she should do the same for me.

Interestingly I got a lot of praise for the relatively easy job of looking after kids and cleaning up when I did it, but I get no end of abuse for being sexist now that I expect it from my wife.

As an aside, know this. Looking after children is a lot easier than working.

That is what I would like. I do not expect anything. I love my wife and, when it comes down to it, I'd give up everything for her. If I expected something in return for my love then it wouldn't be love.

My wife makes me happy by surprising me that after 21 years of marriage, we still can catch each other off-guard. There's small things I would love for my wife to do.... bring out a glass of water while I'm mowing the lawn, fix salmon paddies once a week, and coming home to fresh baked cookies. However, these are all things my mother used to do to make me happy. She'll probably never do those because she never wants to be my mother. Too bad. My mother died over 5 years ago. I'd still like those things.

wife should always be supportive.
she should be a good listener and should speak well and in a respectful manner.
she should be loving enough to make us feel we are important to her.
she should respect all your family members.
she should respect your decision making and should participate.
if we are wrong and determind we should be told why she thinks this is not right instead of arguing unnecessary.
she should be able to take care of the hole family and house.
she should not be always demanding.
