Forensic chemistry II

The course gives students hands-on experience of a wide range of common laboratory instrumental techniques, which they may only have read about in the past. They will learn the physical basis and scope of a range of techniques, and will get experience in using these techniques to solve chemical problems. The course requires students to carry out five instrument-based laboratories. Several analytical techniques will be covered in the course, ranging from the established/traditional such as atomic absorption, to the more modern, such as capillary electrophoresis, for example.
