Yes...he is too simple...I mean his 'disguise' is a pair of Buddy Holly glasses.

"Hmmm...how do I protect my secret identity? Wear a Supermask? No... Oh, I know! I'll put on a pair of glasses! No one will recognize me! Clark, you're a genius!"

I am actually surprised they opted for the original Superman when they made the movie. There have been upgrades and updates to his appearance, just like there always is for every superhero, over the years. Some of the more recent ones look a thousand time better than the original in my book, but aparently they were aiming at getting some of the older crowd that got hooked on Superman years ago to come to the movie as well. I personally think that Superman has run his course all together and that people just need to drop it and quit trying to bring him back to stardom. Superman was great in the days of Captain America during WWI and WWII but now he is juat a little on the antiquated side.

I am surprised anyone wanted the role at all, it appears as if there is some sort of curse to playing Superman - in the early years one committed suicide, one died in a car crash, and for 9 years Christopher Reeves was confined to a wheelchair after a horseback riding accident. So far Dean Cain and the Smallville star have been doing ok.

I don't know, I've always liked Superman the way he is. Granted, I haven't seen the movie yet (obviously) but I plan on seeing it tomorrow at my theaters employee screening. I have never been a follower of the comic or anything either. My opinion is based on Smallville (which I don't watch regularly,) The New Adventures of Lois and Clark, and the upcoming movie.

Oh yeah, Definitely. There are some things that shouldn't be messed with but this superman is kind of a pretty boy...he supposed to be more ... masculine isn't he? It would be awesome if he had rocker hair too...But Spiderman is cooler...

Yeah, he's abit to "gay" now,he needs to be more manly.I wouldn't want to be saved by a man who wears his underwear on top of a pair of tights, I'd rather die!
