Would it be smart for Tampa Bay to get him. We have a lot of goalies but Grahme isn't that great and Sean Burke is getting on in age. The kid we drafeted Riku Helsing is going to take time to develope. Also who as a defensemen should they get.

It depends on who is available.

Obviously the sellers are San Jose (Nabokov or Toskala) and Anaheim (Bryzgalov or Giguere). Biron is available from Buffalo too apparently. Tampa Bay just gave Richards a large amount of money, so they're going to have to watch the cap with any deal they make. It's worth noting that Ottawa offered Martin Havlat straight up for Toskala and were shot down, so Tampa Bay isn't the only buyer out there.

Look for a trade this week, due to unrestricted free agency starting on Saturday.

As for a defensemen, I think they'll wait until Saturday to look at that. I would keep Dan Boyle though. He can really move the puck.

I personally don't think that the Ducks will trade Bryzgalov, they are more likely to part ways with J.S.. Giguere. As far as a defensman is concerned I hear that Chris Pronger is requesting a trade out of Edmonton. Maybe he can come down there for a year and help the Lightening to the Finals and request another trade because it is unliveable in Florida.

I don't think there's any reason to believe that Ilya will be available to anyone but the Ducks. Giguerre on the other hand costs the Ducks more to keep so they are more likely to deal him, given Bryzgalov's playoff success.

Depends on what Tampa would have to give up for him....However, his performance in the playoffs was no fluck...I think hes going to be a good, if not great goalie for years to come...And its nice, because he is still young

Great goalie. A star for years to come.

Ideally Anaheim will keep both Giguere and Bryz... however, like everyone else has already said it's more likely Giguere will be available.

He's proved himself - seems to be a good goalie - but don't know if he's ready to be a #1
